Happtix Limited

Website privacy notice

Last updated: 15 September 2026

This notice covers visits to happtix.com and enquiries sent to our company contact address. It does not describe player accounts, leaderboards or gameplay data, or data collected by our separate product services.

Who is responsible

Happtix Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 17460263. Our registered office is 8 Kempton Close, Runcorn, England, WA7 4YZ. You can contact us at hello@happtix.com. Happtix Limited is the controller of the personal information described here.

Information we use and why

When you visit, our server receives your IP address, requested page, date and time, response status, browser information and any referring page supplied by your browser. We use this information to deliver pages, investigate faults and protect the website against misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.

If you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, message and any attachments. We use these to answer you and manage the conversation, relying on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or we fulfil that contract, we rely on contractual necessity instead. Information needed to meet a legal duty is processed on the basis of that legal obligation.

Providing enquiry information is voluntary, but we need a way to reply and enough detail to help. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Cookies and fonts

The website currently sets two first-party cookies: happtix-session, which identifies a temporary website session, and XSRF-TOKEN, used by the website framework for request security. Both are configured to expire after two hours and may be refreshed on another visit. Session records can include your IP address and browser information; expired records are removed by the framework’s periodic cleanup. You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or a third-party audience analytics service on this company website.

Fonts load from Google Fonts. This connects your browser to Google and sends technical request information, including your IP address and browser headers, to display the typefaces. We use this for our legitimate interest in presenting a readable, consistent website. See Google’s privacy policy for its handling of these requests, including international processing.

Hosting and recipients

Our website server is hosted with DigitalOcean in London, UK. Our company email is also hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure. Hosting and email infrastructure process information to provide these services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

DigitalOcean is a US-based provider and its service operations may involve international processing. Its Data Processing Agreement describes its transfer safeguards, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and contractual fallback safeguards. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

Website access and web-server error logs rotate daily, retaining up to 14 archived log files alongside the current log. Application diagnostic logs are separate and do not currently have automatic time-based deletion configured. We assess whether diagnostic information is still needed to investigate errors, security incidents or legal claims when reviewing it.

Our policy is to delete ordinary enquiry emails 12 months after the conversation ends. This is managed through manual mailbox reviews, rather than automatic expiry. We keep relevant correspondence longer where needed for an ongoing contract, dispute or legal obligation, assessing retention against that purpose. You can contact us to request earlier deletion; legal exceptions may apply.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy where the right to portability applies. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Contact hello@happtix.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity.

Your right to object

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your particular situation. Email hello@happtix.com and tell us which processing you object to.

Complaints

You can raise concerns with us at hello@happtix.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Updates and separate services

We will update this page when the website’s data handling changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For questions about personal information in Happtix Games, contact support+games@happtix.com. This company website notice should not be used as the privacy notice for a game account.
